Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Communication
The Business Development Executive is required to.
? Act as an advocate for decisions of the Chief Executive Officers, State Manager and National Business Development Manager and facilitate implementation.
? Obtain support from the Business Development Manager for new policies, procedures and strategies. This includes skills in negotiating, persuading and influencing to sell a new initiative, a decision or agreement. This requires making formal presentations and preparing written proposals and briefing documents.
? Undertake consultation with all key stakeholders, including government officials, landlords, owners, potential landlords or their representatives etc; this includes skills in negotiating, persuading and influencing to sell new initiatives, a decision or agreement.
Sales Activity
? Development, implementation and monitoring of the Business Development Plan.
? Preparation of tender responses, bidding documents and other proposals for the future expansion of car parking operations, provision of car park solutions and equipment offers. The role will also involve participating in tenders, on an as required basis. In this capacity, roles include:
? Identification of opportunities.
? Responding to tender and proposal requests.
? Stakeholder meetings throughout the business development process.
? Preparation of budget and feasibility model(s), with assistance from others as required.
? Formulation development recommendation(s)
? Preparation and presentation of formal presentations, tender or proposal submissions.
? Liaison with internal stakeholders to establish any equipment/costing requirements.
? Analysing competitor activity and explore and exploit any commercial opportunities.
? Identifying new markets that compliment Secure Parking’s capabilities (both current and emerging)
? All business development offers will need to comply with the company’s new business process before being finalized and will need as a minimum, the authorisation of the General Manager.
? All other ad-hoc projects as required from time to time by the General Manager, National Business Development Manager or COO.
Selection Criteria
1. A tertiary qualification preferably in Commerce or Business or other related field or outstanding performance in similar role.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position with a successful track record of achieving results through influence.
3. High level commitment to customer service
4. Demonstrated capacity for innovation and change
5. Ability to develop and foster a collaborative approach to new business development.
6. Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic, operational, business plans and budgets.
7. Demonstrated experience in the compilation and negotiation of contracts and tender documents.
8. Excellent negotiating skills
9. Excellent Analytical skills
10. Demonstrated effective project management skills.
11. Ability to develop a business development plan to create growth.
12. Demonstrated high level computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
13. Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to persuade, negotiate and resolve conflict.
14. Current Drivers Licence is a plus.
15. Excellent English communication skills.
