Nurun China is looking for an Accountant with strong skills in financial analysis. Nurun China is a digital agency in Publicis Group.
Within an international company, your main responsibilities will be to prepare monthly financial statements and analysis reports; to ensure that corporate controls and locals regulations are respected; and manage other accounting related matters (government filings, audits, etc.)

Reporting to Finance Manager, you will exposed to budgeting and forecasting and different types of analysis related to project and client profitability, including standard cost, overhead variances and revenue/labor/overhead absorption, utilization reports, etc.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
General Accounting and Administration
- Handle the accounting side of the monthly revenue recognition process (% completion method)
- In charge of month-end closing: bank & GL account reconciliations, journal entries, prepare month-end reports, inter-company transactions, etc.
- Maintain and update all supporting documents for month end binder.
- Analysis of capital assets expenditures & depreciation schedule
- Manage and review employee expense reports and cash advances, payables, receivables and any other accounting matter
- Assist in Cashflow projections
Project Accounting, Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare Financial Analysis (FA) for new project quotations
- Ensure accurate financial project setup in the Time & Project management software (Changepoint)
- Participate in the monthly Project Status Reviews for revenue recognition by projects
- Tracking of project expenses to ensure accurate project and client profitability reporting
- Ongoing monitoring of the “work in progress” report and client invoicing
- Maintain project-related documents and records, including clients’ contracts and change orders and purchase orders.
Financial Controls & Reporting
- Participate in annual budgeting
- Financial statements analysis (P&L and Balance Sheet)
- Ensure that corporate controls and local regulations are enforced and respected
- Ensure compliance to rules and regulations of the relevant governments and authorities (Finance, Tax and other governmental institutions)
- Any other reports or analysis required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferably Management Accounting), Finance or other related field;
- Minimum 3 years experiences in accounting, with expose to the full accounting cycle, with at least 2 years of project/cost accounting experience, preferably in advertising/digital agency environment (or similar service industry)
- Strong analytical skills and communication skills: ability to accurately prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ad hoc reports and highlight key points
- Strong time management abilities (ability to work within strict deadlines and prioritize)
- Must be detail-oriented
- Dynamic, self-motivated, and can work well in a fast pace environment
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
