Job Description:
1. Responsible for defining FW/SW/system architecture and design of platform/product concepts created during the expedition phase. Work closely with partners, customers and WDLabs team to establish architecture/design plans that enable accelerated prototyping and also consider follow-on scalability.
2. Execute demos and prototypes in support of expedition phase and carry-through to incubation phase for IRB-approved projects.
3. Engage WDLabs engineers, other WD engineers and contractors to execute development in the fastest and most efficient way. Contribute a significant amount of hands-on work (design, coding, testing, documentation, etc.).

Skills/attributes required:
1. Extensive experience in system FW/SW integration of devices in data storage products.
2. Very strong codewriting and validation skills. Good knowledge and experience creating code complying with open-source rules/regulations.
3. Good capability to define codework break-out to engineers and manage efficient integration and validation of compiled code.
4. Ability to reach-out and collaborate effectively with an extended development team including engineers at other WDLabs and WD locations, contractors, external partners and customers.
