Job Description:
1. Design, implement, validate and document FW for demos and prototypes of system/product concepts created in the expedition phase. Provide follow-on support of IRB-approved projects into the incubation phase. FW will support implementation of data storage devices as well as other devices and subsystems in the computing and communications eco-system.
2. FW implementation must enable rapid prototyping but also consider portability and scalability going from concept demo to incubation phase to product development.
3. Utilize WDLabs engineers, other WD engineers and contractors to contribute to code creation, maintaining rapid development under a growing job load.

Skills/attributes required:
1. Extensive experience in system FW/SW integration of devices in data storage products.
2. Very strong codewriting and validation skills. Good knowledge and experience creating code complying with open-source rules/regulations.
3. Ability to quickly learn new devices, systems and applications and design and implement code to integrate these into prototypes.
4. Strong ability to collaborate with other programmers and sub-contract codework effectively.
