Job Description:
1. Support expedition teams in early marketing and technical engagement with partners and customers. Identify potential solutions/products and system integration strategies. Define projects to accelerate demos and early prototypes as vehicles for partner/customer engagement and to support internal funding proposals.
2. Lead engineers in creating demos and early prototypes. Establish requirements, set deliverables and schedule and manage execution utilizing engineers in the WDLabs Concept Development Group plus other internal and external resources. Provide program management support for IRB-approved projects through incubation phase.
3. This is a “hands-on” working management position with a broad range of activities: from strategic/architectural work to design, build and testing- whatever’s needed to deliver rapidly.

Skills/attributes required:
1. Several years of experience leading platform/product development activities related to data storage systems.
2. Ability to lead development projects through all phases, concept to product completion, with knowledge and experience to direct architecture, design and execution in all major engineering areas (HW, FW, SW).
3. Able to travel to work with partners, customers and WDLabs teams.
