Half Shaft / Constant Velocity Joint Engineer

To further assure our continued growth, we are expanding our sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing capabilities in Asia. As part of this expansion we are looking to hire Half Shaft/Constant Velocity Joint Engineers to work with our Asia customer base. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and have a direct contribution to our success.
Position Location: Shanghai, China (JingAn District) / Hangzhou / Chongqing
Position Overview: This position is targeted for engineering professionals with direct experience in half shaft and constant velocity joint design and/or applications for passenger vehicles. Primary job responsibilities include managing the sizing, design, testing, prototype builds, and project documentation. Title and Compensation are dependent on the candidate's qualifications as several opportunities exist.
Position Responsibilities: The Halfshaft Engineer position will have the following responsibilities:
· Support sales/quote function for new business acquisition
· Perform sizing calculations for designs based on vehicle data
· Perform basic Computer Aided Engineering analysis (FEA &modal analysis) on driveline components and systems
· Able to read and interpret prints, specifications, and design documentation
· Prototype Control Plan execution and documentation
· Ability to lead a team through Design and APQP process
Position Qualifications: In order to meet the objectives of this position, the candidate should possess as many of the following skillsets as possible:
· Completed, or in process of completing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Hands on experience with NVH modeling and modal testing
· Direct experience with halfshaft and/or halfshaft component design
· CAE experience
· Good organizational skills
· Good understanding of GD&T
· Good business acumen and desire to learn
· Proven track record of team leadership, problem solving, and working with International Teams
· English level of average or better is required
