ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Brand/Trademark Enforcement
？ Provide support for brand enforcement matters and investigations in Asia Pacific, including online enforcement.
？ Police trademark usage in Asia Pacific against unauthorized use, including collaboration with internal clients to identify and takedown trademark infringers.
？ Promote awareness of the Company’s trademark portfolio and usage guidelines by assisting in training of employees and authorized third parties in the Asia Pacific region.


2.Trademark Portfolio
？ Collaborate with internal clients to develop, manage and police the Company’s trademark portfolio in Asia Pacific.
？ Counsel internal clients on trademark/product name selection and strategy in Asia Pacific.
？ Work closely with internal clients in Asia Pacific to provide legal counsel and training on how trademarks are used in advertising and promotions.
？ Review all forms of marketing, advertising, and packaging materials for compliance with the Company’s trademark usage guidelines.


QUALIFICATIONS
J.D. degree or equivalent degree from accredited law school.
？ 5-7 years of experience at a top tier law firm, including experience in trademark prosecution and brand enforcement, or 3 years of experience at a top tier law firm plus 2-4 years of experience in-house in trademark prosecution and brand enforcement.
？ Member in good standing in foreign bar with in-depth knowledge of IP laws in China or qualified attorney in the People’s Republic of China.
？ Fluent (written and oral) Mandarin and English required.
？ Prior experience working with the Alibaba Group and/or Weibo on brand enforcement and trademark infringement issues highly desirable.
？ Ability to identify and handle complex issues in many disciplines, with particular expertise in intellectual property.
？ Domestic and International travel required.
