Position Targets:
？ Performs failure analysis for drives that failed during product development, manufacturing process, reliability tests, or customer returned drives including qualification failures, line failures and field failures. Failure analysis includes determining root-cause of hard drive failure at H.D.A (Head and Disk Assembly). In addition to performing analysis to root cause of failure to ensure corrective actions are implemented on particular failures to prevent them from occurring on future products and/or to make sure we can prevent the same type of failure from continuing to ship from our factory process via screens/additional tests.
？ Performs failure analysis for drive failures in the datacenter server and storage systems customers report.
？ Performs datacenter server and storage systems’ interoperability joint testing with customers. This includes define the joint testing with customer, install and bring up the systems, running joint testing, and analyze failure when running the tests.

？ Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking. Speak, read, and write effective English. Read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical reports, instructions, and procedures and scientific journals.
？ Write technical reports and documentation with clear, concise information using good grammar, spelling, punctuation and structure.
？ Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
？ Deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phase. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
？ Uses PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse or trackball, MS Office, e-mail, intranet, phone, fax, copier, printer. Conducts business ethically.
？ Uses Linux and Linux tools to do datacenter server and storage systems’ testing related work.
？ Identifies and escalates ethical issues.

Job Requirements:
1. Master / Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
2. BS + 5 - 8 yrs. Related experience, or MS + 3 - 6 yrs. Related experience, or PhD + 1 - 4 yrs. related experience. experience in a related Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering fields
3. Good spoken and written command of English. Good communicator.
4. Linux knowledge is a plus
