Position Description

· Work with leading edge technology, developing Ericsson’s products : LTE Broadcast

· Perform software design: from requirement analysis, system design to implementation

· Co-operate with colleagues in Europe and U.S.A to ensure a large-scale e2e solution with good quality

· Perform function test including test design and test execution

· Perform trouble-shooting on released software globally and travel across different countries if it is necessary

Qualifications

o Required Qualifications and Skills for Developer

· University Bachelor or Master Degree in any of the following: Computer Science, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering. More than one year experience in related field is required

· Knowledge of Object Oriented design (OOD) is a MUST

· Solid experience on Java or C++ programming for more than 2 years

· Solid knowledge on XML programming

· Solid experience on the UNIX OS (Linux or Solaris), including but not limited to shell programming, network service configuration and other system administration work.

· Familiar with the network architecture and protocol, e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DIAMETER

· Solid experience on the network troubleshooting.

· Experience on Network programming and Multi-thread programming is a must.

o Preferred Qualification and Skills for Sr. Developer

o Experience on system design , large development project experience for more than two years is an advantage

o Good knowledge and basic understanding in LTE system architecture.

o Solid knowledge in TV domain, e.g. MBMS related standards, CA technology, CDN technology and the related business logic.

o Knowledge on J2EE, Jboss, Web Services is advantage

o Knowledge of the following network protocols: Video streaming, FLUTE, RTP, RTCP, RTSP, MBMS, HTTP Streaming and Video CODEC is an advantage

o Experience with EJB and Oracle

o Other Soft Skills

· Basic knowledge of Software Engineering such as Agile, streamline

· Understand the Agile way of working

· Good English communication skills (both in written and verbal)

· Can work independently, easy to work with and strong team work spirit

· Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply to work tasks

· Innovative and solution thinking

· Open minded and willing to take challenges
