职位描述
Primary objective of the position
This role will drive the strategic planning and coordination of business development activities across disciplines and sectors in China to ensure an increased effectiveness of business development in line with the strategic direction – a global leader in designing a sustainable future.
Key objectives include:
1. Drive proactive and strategic market sector business development activities in China positioning HASSELL in key sectors. A prerequisite of the role is to identify key client decision makers, arrange appointments with them for Hassell personnel and nurture the ongoing relationship to secure profitable work
2. Facilitate growth in China’s pipeline in key regions and markets and greater conversion of “must win” projects
3. Facilitate a client focused culture in China through training and coaching of key HASSELL staff
4. Integrate with the Australian, SE Asian and UK based BD teams to enable a coordinated and consistent BD function
This role will be based in the Shanghai studio.
The successful candidate will be located in the Sydney studio for a period of three months at the commencement of his or her employment. In this time the role will be focused on understanding the firm’s business plan, key sector business development plans, client plans and the tools and technologies employed to enable the BD team to drive the global vision.
The role will then re-locate to China, with the aim of bringing a consistent business development function to the Chinese studios.

Key Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are desirable:
_Fluent written and verbal Mandarin and advanced English written and verbal communication skills
_Appropriate tertiary qualifications
_Business Development and Marketing experience in professional services environment – minimum of 6 years
_Experience in property/construction industry/associated consulting industry is ideal but not essential
_Microsoft Office and Adobe suite skills
_CRM Database software skills

Key Activities
Please note that periodically you may be asked to undertake activities outside of those listed below.
_Assist Principals to develop strategies for the management of existing client relationships and an approach to targeting new clients
_Drive Principals to maintain a healthy pipeline of leads and opportunities for China as recorded in CRM
_Develop and implement local sector plans - effectively implementing the five international key sector plans
_Develop and implement sector plans for sectors critical to China. Activities include: the development of financial targets, client management strategies, pursuit plans for must win projects and profile raising in consultation with sector leaders
_Responsible for tracking China’s activities and monitoring outcomes against these plans
_Research and identify new Chinese target markets in support of other marketing activities
_Coordination of the submission process for China; leading strategy workshops and assisting bid teams and support personnel in preparing / gathering marketing information as required
_Initiate and attend (with appropriate key personnel), meetings and presentations with prospective Chinese clients and key industry groups inclusive of client debriefs and feedback
_Develop and implement (with input from Chinese discipline leaders) a targeted calendar of events/guest speakers/boardroom lunches per discipline
_Attend and coordinate attendance of appropriate key personnel to functions arranged by industry associations, government bodies and others. Structure coordinated schedule of follow up and achievable milestones to ensure continuity of networking activity
_Prepare regular reports and analyses of China business development achievements, opportunities and targets to leadership meetings
_Attend leadership meetings by invitation
_Lead in-house business development and marketing related training for key China personnel
Key Performance Indicators
_Reviews at 3 months and then every 6 months thereafter. The focus will be on the results of client activities, lead generation and conversion rates across China
_Management of the China CRM database and content accuracy
_Successful integration with the BD function in Australia
