Calling all wordsmiths! Have you got a passion for languages and an obsessive eye for detail? Do you want to jumpstart your career in the world of language? We’re looking for a talented Simplified Chinese to English translator/copywriter to join our in-house team in Shanghai.
Working with Accounts team, you’ll be responsible for adapting storyboards and ad copy from Chinese into English, ensuring that the meaning of the Chinese copy is kept and the English copy resonates with the target audience. All copy should be on brief and reflect the client's tone of voice and our unique brand values.
Main responsibilities:

? Working with our Account Management team, you will be responsible to own the translation and copywriting process from brief to delivery.
? To adapt advertising copy from Chinese to English and ensure that copy, across all channels, is ‘on brand’ and meets client's quality expectations.
? To plan and execute the timely delivery of copy across all channels of the business through effective time and process management.
? To be able to take client feedback on board and complete any re-works necessary.
? To build and maintain effective relationships across the business advising on all aspects of translation/copywriting/’tone of voice’ to ensure consistency across all internal and external communications.
? To work closely and effectively with the production teams and support with Quality Control and proofreading after production.

Experience and skills:
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

? Excellent translation, writing and editing skills gained ideally within the automotive industry.
? Impeccable command of the English language and grammar and excellent understanding of the Chinese (Simplified/Mandarin) language.
? A degree in languages, journalism, marketing or advertising (with a specialisation in copy writing)
? Fantastic creative flair and a meticulous attention to detail.
? Excellent proofreading skills in English.
? Good research skills.
? Great interpersonal and communication skills.
