职位描述
A leading international insurance organization serving customers in more than 130 countries. They serve commercial, institutional, and individual customers through one of the most extensive worldwide property-casualty networks of any insurer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Role Description:
1. Gain understanding of Business requirements and Business strategy, work with Business Analysts to document/refine requirements (functional and non-functional), and map product requirements and Business Problems to re-usable end-to-end technology solutions
2. Work with Program Managers and Business Analysts to develop high level project schedules, resource plans for the project, and project costs
3. Prepare for the implementation of applications by evaluating and selecting the methodologies and tools based on standards
4. Work with the implementation team and drive solution development by guiding and mentoring the team through the entire implementation process, advising as needed to address technical challenges that come up.
5. Understand and contribute to all design aspects needed for the solution (Business, Application, Information and Data, Technology Integration and Infrastructure)
6. Document solution designs and how they interact with the larger Enterprise Architecture, including Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products
7. Develop Risk Management and Risk mitigation strategies
8. Reports to the Regional Chief Technology Officer
Responsibilities:
In this role, the candidate is responsible for the following:
1. Developing a comprehensive applications architecture view (vision) as part of the overall Asia Pacific enterprise architecture. Communicating the vision effectively across the organization. Conducting industry research and scanning of emerging technologies and IT cost drivers. Understanding global and enterprise requirements and constraints and apply them in recommending solutions.
2. Contributing to the development and maintenance of an effective, maintainable and useable IT strategy. Linking the applications architecture to the business and IT strategies and aligning the architecture and standards to the Regional IT roadmap.
3. Managing plans for the technology life-cycle (including retiring of systems). Managing plans for strategic vendors. Identifying metrics to demonstrate the value of IT services.
4. Ensuring that technical support teams contribute to the Asia Pacific enterprise view. Reviewing and negotiating requirements with business and technical staff. Recommending technologies, training and tools. Ensuring that architecture meets its design goals. Making early design decisions and identifying risks.
5. Co-ordinating the tasks of those who influence or are influenced by the architecture. Providing requirements and inputs to projects/solutions and infrastructure architects. Maintaining the integrity of the design and ensuring that the architecture is followed.
6. Ensuring that architectural principles and processes are integrated with project management and solution deployment processes. Effectively communicating the architecture to business and IT staff.
a) Engaging with the business stakeholders and Regional Customer Solutions & Innovations Leads for business requirements
b) Involving regional systems team – Application, Infrastructure, Security/Governance Leads – for guidance and inputs
c) Liaising and managing delivery partners – for systems implementation matters and infrastructure needs
d) Liaising and managing third party system developers, where applicable
e) Engaging country systems teams as necessary
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE / POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Typical Minimum Experience:
1. Extensive experience in developing applications architecture and standards (5+ years).
2. Extensive experience (analysis, design and construction) in systems development and integration in a multi-platform networked environment (8+ years).
3. Business Intelligence (data warehousing, data marts, analytics, data-mining, associated tools and technologies, etc.)
4. Core Insurance Systems (underwriting, claims, reinsurance, earnings, debtors, etc.)
5. Financial Systems (general ledger, collections, disbursements, budgeting, major packages and vendors, etc.)
6. Data Architecture (data governance and management, logical and physical data modeling, reference and meta data management, associated tools and technologies etc.)
7. Integration Architecture (EAI, messaging, workflow, associated tools & technologies, etc.)
8. Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF)
Typical Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
1. Extensive experience in insurance and financial services (5+ years).
2. Manage multiple stakeholders at senior levels
3. Ability to multi-task as supporting multiple and concurrent projects are necessary
4. Leadership, verbal and written communication, influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution, presentation
5. Bachelor’s degree or higher
6. Strong English and Chinese communication, written and oral.
