DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Build and maintain spend database for indirect materials, services and energy in East Asia
2. Centralize the indirect purchasing for key products, while co-ordinate the local spend for less strategic goods.
3. Find and evaluate new suppliers, while consolidate the existing supply base across all China sites.
4. Support the goals of Europe and USA-based Commodity teams on resourcing and cost-reduction projects for indirect material.
5. Negotiate and manage service contracts for al China sites.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE / POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor education background
2. Over 3 years purchasing experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically for indirect material and/or professional services.
3. Strong understanding of the key success factors of efficient global supply chain management. Ability to work in a team environment across all corporate functions: engineering, marketing, purchasing, production.
4. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to persuade disparate parties to follow a corporate mandate.
5. Willingness and ability to travel. Self-motivated, able to manage many projects simultaneously.
6. A system thinker able to understand and respond to the broad needs of internal customers. Solid analytical skills, with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
8. Ability to work across a variety of cultures and mindsets.
