System engineer backlighting
Function
CPAT facilitates and supports design-in of LUXEON Power LEDs in customer programs and
applications. For edge-lit backlighting, CPAT is looking for a system engineer who is
subject matter technical expert and supports our Lumileds sales force from initial customer engagements to commercial success.

The system engineer backlighting has a strong and in-depth understanding of edge-lit
backlighting with white LEDs. The candidate has the analytical bandwidth to quickly
capture the critical success factors of customer requests and is able to translate
these into actions to adapt the current edge lit backlighting concept into tailor
made solutions. The system engineer has an active and solid knowledge of mechanics, thermals
and optics; knowledge of electronics is a pre. Occasionally the system engineer must
be able to lead a dedicated small taskforce.

Critical success factors
· Experience with edge-lit LED backlighting
· Technical expertise in optics, mechanics and thermals
· In depth knowledge of white LED binning concepts
· Solid understanding of factory logistics of binned LEDs
· “Good enough” mentality
· Strong communicator
· On-site problem solving capability

Profile
· Master degree in a relevant technical field
· 5 year experience in a technical-commercial environment
· 2 years experience as a multi disciplinary project leader
· Strong analytical skills
· Proven skill in customer communication
· Experience in display or consumer business area
· Fluent English
· Desire and ability to work in a team-environment with a high level of inter-continental interaction (incl. flexible time schedules)

Expected travelling percentage 25%
