Main Purpose of the Job:

The Jr. Product Design Engineer provides support to the current design team while learning the manufacturing, project and design process. Our ideal candidate is motivated and talented in all areas of the development of new packaging design. After successful tutoring, you will be responsible for the planning and realization of design orders from our regional and international clients.


Main Responsibilities:

* Support the design team in the analysis of product specification and supporting documents and help manage the organization of product documentation
* Assist the design team in the development of technical, aesthetical and innovative solutions to satisfy consumer needs and desires
* Learn to design high-end packaging design that can be efficiently manufactured
* Flexibility to deal with multiple changes to information and prioritize under time pressure
* Readies product designs for manufacturing via three dimensional models, technical drawings and 3D prototyping in accordance with company standards
* Works with an interdisciplinary team of Sales, Project Managers, Quality Assurance Technicians and Process Technicians in an open-minded environment


Educational /Experience:

* Educational background is in a technical or design related field
* Familiar with 3D modeling (ideally in NX-CAD), rendering software and MS Office
* Knowledge and experience in the area of plastics processing and tool making is preferred


Qualifications /Skills:

* Talented in three dimensional construction and modeling with an excellent spatial sense; experience in free form modeling is preferred
* Must have a technical and analytical ability; able to evaluate risks and impacts during the product design process, but also present possible solutions
* Requires a detail-oriented working style; possesses strong diligence and meticulous working behavior during the design process
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve positive results
* Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks appropriately and manage different types of projects simultaneously
* Native Chinese speaker with good written and verbal English skills
