Large Chiller Engineering

Position: Chiller Systems Engineer

Job Description:

The primary responsible of the position is the engineering development of chiller system technologies. In this capacity, the engineer will be primarily responsible to develop solutions that best meet the global market needs by integrating multiple technologies in the product. To do this, the engineer must have a strong understanding of the thermodynamics' of the chiller system, chiller modeling, tube in shell heat transfer, pressure vessel design and compression application.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Team member of the Large Chiller Development organization

· Thermodynamic based modeling and optimization of chiller system design

· Develop chiller system architecture that meets or exceeds the product development requirements

· Develop heat exchanger components in collaboration with heat transfer technology experts

· Confirm product design performance, capability and reliability in the engineering product test laboratory

· Collaborate with the compression development team to seamlessly integrate the compressor design into the chiller design

· Collaborate with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production

· Collaborate with the product marketing teams globally to develop product requirements and that the product their meets their needs when launched

Candidate Attributes:

· MS or Ph D in mechanical or related engineering

· 5 to 10 years of experience in this technology space

· Project leadership experience, preferred

· HVAC industry experience, preferred

· Strong communication skills, primarily in English

· Leadership and teamwork skills required

Position Level: Commensurate with background and experience

Location: Shanghai China

Travel: Less than 20%, International
