Camera Test & Evaluation Engineer
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Primary responsibilities will include test development and execution, with opportunities for
automated test execution and development. Candidate must have experience working in a
software development environment with structured process, solid logic and debugging skills,
comfort reading and writing at least one high level programming language, and knowledge of
installing operating systems and patches.
Responsibilities include:
? Develops and executes system level test cases for security management system
? Develops automation scripts to perform unit and end-to-end system testing
? Develops strategy and executes stress and performance tests to ensure product
reliability
? Communicate with development and marketing teams regarding system functionality
? Translate marketing requirements into test plans covering the major components of the
product line (e.g. host/client/server software, video, graphical user interfaces, embedded
firmware, etc.)
? Document test results and document defects into the defect tracking system.
? Report out to team leads and management.
? Suggest ways to improve process and methodologies within the test department
? Provides reliable estimates of work effort and accurate identification of risks
? Collaborates with a cross functional team including Marketing and Technical Support
? Contributes significantly to system test design and requirements analysis
? Prioritizes work on several projects at a time
? Applies good software engineering processes, including iterative development,
test driven development, unit tests, source code control, inspections and reviews
? Stays current with technology and industry best practices
Qualifications/Requirements:
? BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
? Understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile methodologies a plus)
? Strong experience with software, GUI, and functional testing
Familiarity with networks and application load on IP networks
? Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems; Linux (AIX a plus)
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Team player, will have extensive interaction with development and marketing
? Highly motivated, customer focused and a clear thinker
? Able to deliver expected results with minimal supervision
? Familiarity with Six Sigma process control and improvement
? Domain knowledge of Access Control and Digital Video
? Experience in HP Quality Center (Administration a plus), QTP, and National Instruments
? Experience in iterative/agile development processes
? Experience with Java-based development
? Experience with .NET Web Services
? Experience working with virtual machines through either VMWare or Hyper-V
