Main Roles of the Electrical & Controls Staff Engineer

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the position is the engineering support and development of refrigeration systems control technologies. In this capacity, the engineer will be primarily responsible to develop solutions that best meet refrigeration system requirements. To do this, the engineer must have a strong understanding of the controls function of commercial refrigeration product and compression application.



Responsibilities:

· Develop refrigeration control system that meets the product development requirements in collaboration with the refrigeration system engineer

· Validate 3rd party control function and components performance and reliability in the laboratory and if necessary, in the field for Pilot jobs

· Collaborate with supply chain to meet controls function cost target

· Collaborate with quality team to lead the qualification plan / sample tests

· Collaborate with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement control design into production

· Support software upgrade, system optimization with supplier and our global control team

· Be the Asian expert for our own internal control system (LDS), and drive and support the introduction of this propriatary controls into Asia

· Coordinate with external controls supplier to match our customer requests for customization

· Perform internal training to other R&D engineers and factory technician



Candidate Attributes:

· Master degree with major in electrical/controls, with successful first experience

· Fluent English (both written and spoken)

· HVACR industry experience, with Danfoss, Siemens or Carel controls exposure

· Leadership and teamwork skills required

· Skilled in C, C++, embedded system

· Self motivated and quick to learn

· Interest in working on an international project

· Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic and international team utilizing the most modern R&D technologies and processes.
