Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a professional with an experienced background in various life and annuity products, database and business intelligence platforms, computer programming and experience studies
1. Facilitate quantitative analyses for the AIG Mortality & Morbidity Center of Excellence (MMCOE); Provide analytical support with respect to aspects of insurance product mortality, longevity, and morbidity experience, underwriting analytics, and claims analytics with the Life, Property & Casualty, and International lines.
2. Support AIG Global Actuarial & Value Management (GAVM) with various life actuarial specialty projects. Provide sound analysis and recommendations to management for business decisions.
3. Work closely with business units at the life and annuity companies within AIG Life and Retirement Services to provide pricing and other life actuarial support.
4. Work with other AIG corporate functional areas including valuation, pricing, ICALM and value-based management.
5. Assist in the implementation of an Experience Study Data Warehouse Environment (Mortality Studies, Termination Studies, and Premium Persistency Studies) in developing actionable information for use by MMCOE.
6. Research and monitor latest industry studies and reports with respect to mortality, morbidity, and longevity experience research.
7. Project planning skills to set detailed tasks and timeframe for the junior analysts; reviewed their work for accuracy and overall reasonableness;
8. Interact with various functional life insurance areas: Actuarial, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Finance, Claims and IT.
9. Time management skills to optimize use of resources and focus on top priorities.
10. Provide actuarial support for items not handled by the admin system.



Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of Life and Annuity industry experience. Experience study or pricing experience preferred;
2. Bachelor degree or higher in one of the following areas: Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Computer Programming;
3. Life associate ASA/AIA preferred.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English necessary to document and communicate key findings;
5. Strong development experience with at least one actuarial financial projection tool such as Prophet or/and Moses.
6. Experience working with and implementing large database management systems is a plus. SQL server and/or Microsoft Access and/or SAS.
7. Customer focus: dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and establishes/maintains effective relationships.
8. Good interpersonal skill, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work with limited supervision.
