Responsibility:

1. Create component and sub-component GD&T and identify special and critical characteristics using sunroof and environmental math data, DFMEA, and assembly environment reviews.

2. Create, review and validate 2D drawings for assemblies and components; Coordinate and lead virtual design reviews and virtual build reviews.

3. Mentor other designers in tolerancing methods

4. Assist design team leader for internal and external discussion/meeting on dimensional and GD&T subject

5. Create measurement point maps used for tooling or process validation and development

6. Conduct tolerance stack analysis and report tolerance feasibility to design team leader

7. Develop tolerance dispute rational into engineering and customer presentations or reports.

8. Track measurement system builds (inspection fixtures, specialty gauges, etc.).

9. Coordinate measurement systems design and build with gague engineers and assembly engineers to assure timely delivery of measurement systems that meet all customer and Webasto standards.

10. Lead dimensional improvements on sunroof and its sub-assembly geometry through part, tooling, or design actions.

11. Analyze and organize data from multiple sources into reports that identify top issues and potential root causes

12. Verify effectiveness of recommended improvement proposals through data analysis and problem solving methodologies (e.g., DOE, PDCA, DMAIC, etc.).of recommended validation proposals through data analysis

13. Define guidelines for GD&T work in project

14. Work with component expert and other internal partners to define the dimensional and GD&T specification in component 2D template

15. Analyze the functions of sunroof and its environmental part, including BIW, roof skin and other parts of car body, to review and validate the GD&T drawing of sunroof can meet sunroof manufacturing and customer car DTS requirement

16. Support program execution with the development of initial product dimensional requirements by integrating product designs with manufacturing processes.

17. Coordinate the dimensional integration activities within and across sunroof subsystems to support program execution.

18. Ensure the GD&T and tolerance stack up skills improvement for Design team

19. Skill assessment & training

Requirement

1.Bachelor degree, mechanical related major.
2.5 years above related working experience in Auto industry.
3.Knowledge about quality system.(eg.TS16949/APQP/PPAP/etc)
4.Skilled in CATIA V4/V5.
5.Good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
6.Skilled in use of office software.
7.Quality, environment, safety Consciousness and common sense.
