The HR Generalist will work a full lifecycle desk at New Pathway, using active and creative sourcing methods to attract top talent. We need a hunter – someone who is passionate, has a high sense of urgency and ‘get stuff done’ mentality. We need someone with the “sales gene” who can communicate effectively with both internal customers and candidates with various levels of experiences. If your answer to “how do you find top candidates” is “I post a job and pray the candidates answer” then this job is not for you. The ideal candidate will have a passion for recruiting and people management who loves being accountable and developing partnerships with hiring managers and is driven by their competitiveness to hire the right people quickly. This position is based in Shanghai and will report to an HR Manager in the US

As our HR Generalist, you will:
1. Source & recruit candidates to New Pathway’s openings on various teams
2. Conduct phone, Skype, and/or in-person interviews
3. Draft and post new job requisitions
4. Ensure a great candidate experience through all stages of the recruitment and hiring process, including but not limited to contract negotiation, employee onboarding, etc
5. Work with New Pathway’s hiring managers to closely understand their needs as well as strategize in finding candidates that will excel in their role
6. Run kick-off meetings and candidate debrief meetings with hiring managers and HR team
7. Attend recruitment events, job fairs, meets ups, etc.
8. Make it your priority to ensure EVERY candidate has a seamless and positive experience while interviewing at New Pathway
9. Be an excellent brand ambassador for New Pathway: anyone that talks to you should be convinced they would rather work at New Pathway than any other education organization in China
10. Perform other ad hoc HR tasks as needed

Requirements:
1. We are looking for a chameleon! The ground is moving as you walk. Priorities will shift and you pride yourself on adapting to those changes
2. You have a background in hiring for a variety of roles and are not limited to the types of roles you recruit for. Finance, IT, Creative…you respond with ‘Bring it On.’
3. You have a stellar track record in building up solid pipelines for a high volume of jobs
4. You have superb time management skills
5. You are all about the team, but you can work independently too
6. 1-2+ years’ experience doing full-life cycle recruiting for different types of roles in an agency and/or startup setting
7. Ability to multi-task a high volume of candidates and jobs at once
8. You see value in metrics and incorporate them into your process
9. Excellent communication skills (concise, accurate, and effective)
10. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a fast-paced environment
11. Passion for what we are doing at New Pathway
12. Experience in handling HR administrative matters and knowledge of US and China labor laws

New Pathway Education was founded in 2009, with team members who graduated from the top schools in the US. Our teachers possess strong academic backgrounds, passion for education, and varied life experiences. Our program is founded on a simple educational philosophy: to provide the most innovative and inspirational one-stop platform for test prep and college counseling. We combined the online/offline interactive teaching techniques that we developed on our own with traditional American educational values. Over the last few years, we successfully helped thousands of students including 5 students achieve 2400 and 200 students achieve 2300 on the SAT; 90% of the students who took AP class achieved at least 4 out of 5, 30% of the students who we provided college counseling for successfully entered the most selective Top 20 schools in the US
As demand increased, we opened 7 campuses in China: 4 campuses in Shanghai, 2 in Beijing, 1 in Boston. Our training programs have been expanded, ranging from TOEFL, SAT/ACT, SAT Subject, AP/IB, in addition to our educators researched and developed more unique programs such as “Scholar Tree”, “ELA”, and “Life Coaching” that will dramatically help students whose age from 6 to 17 years old improve their English capabilities, leadership, communication skills and other crucial competitive advantage for their future under a total English teaching environment. In terms of extra-curricular, we also provide plenty of activities and projects including international communication, international volunteer programs, leadership development and so on that we cooperated with the most selective schools in the US and well-known organizations in China and overseas. Through this abundant and worldwide platform we built for our students, we help them discovery themselves, maximize their potential, and encourage them to pursue their dreams, always be ready to take the challenge they may encounter. Eventually we hope our students gain personal confidence and ability that transfers to their academic lives and into their future as they aspire to higher education in the world’s best universities.
