In this function, the HPC Technical Consultant will be the primary technical point of contact for customers. You will support the sales and business departments with your technical knowledge; you will assist them to identify business opportunities. You will have frequent contacts with refineries to provide solutions to their hydroprocessing needs, to discuss technical proposals and solve technical problems. In addition, you may be required to assist the UOP/Albemarle Alliance group to provide catalyst performance information for the design and/or revamp of hydroprocessing units.
The vacancy is for our office located in either Beijing or Shanghai, China.

Tasks and responsibilities
1.Assist the business in identifying technical needs and opportunities
2.Prepare competitive technical proposals and recommendations for HPC catalyst applications to existing and potential customers
3.Carry out technical negotiations with customers
4.Proactively monitor and evaluate HPC unit operations and catalyst performance, with the aim to increase unit performance and customer satisfaction.
5.Perform technical services, like unit loading/start-up, unit monitoring, catalyst lifetime prediction and troubleshooting
6.Perform studies for customers to optimize and improve profitability of their hydroprocessing units
7.Maintain and improve calculation models
8.Prepare and present technical papers at seminars and congresses
9.Prepare catalyst performance data for UOP for the design and revamp of hydroprocessing units

Skills and Education
1.At least a Master’s degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
2.At least 3 years of relevant experience in process design or refining process industry, related to operation in Hydroprocessing units.
3.In addition to Mandarin, your English is good, both written and spoken.
4.An inquiring, flexible and service minded attitude
5.A strong mix of commercial and technical skills is needed to be successful.
6.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
