Primary Responsibilities:
The primary role of this position is to develop and implement the trade marketing strategy of RCCL in North China. Leveraging the relevant marketing tools, he or she needs to support Sales to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with key industry partners such as PSA, airlines, tourism board from LG related destinations to build the profile and exposure of RCCL as a preferred cruise operator.
Includes responsibilities on the following:
? Develop and implement point-of-sales strategy to maximize RCCL SOV (share-of-voice) in PSA outlets in terms of collateral distribution, outdoor/in-store display, branded shop/area, etc.
? Negotiate with key trade partner marketing team to increase the positive exposure of RCCL content in their agent-facing consumer-facing collaterals, websites and publications.
? Responsible for effective execution of trade communications strategy, providing content for weekly trade newsletter, advertorial/editorial in trade publications.
? Manage co-op investment to ensure trade partners to follow RCCL’s branding guidelines and to maximize return on investment
? Assist Regional BD Head to run sales campaign including product launch press release, trade and consumer road shows/tea parties, product training, etc.
? Develop and maintain positive relationship with airlines, tourism board and special interest travel marketers in order to achieve a good information network
? Provide KPI report on a regular basis to ensure positive outcomes of trade marketing investment
? Work closely with BD team to increase RCCL brand & product awareness within the travel industry through educational seminars to sub-agents, FAM trips, FVR for PSA’s cruise department head, agent sales & OP.
? Maintain and manage trade website to maximize its exposure and functionalities
? Organize and ensure the optimal presence in trade show
? Provide advice to consumer marketing and PR team to ensure the communications program with minimum conflict to trade partners’ interest.
? Provide on-going trade feedback to improve RCCL collateral development
? Co-ordinate regional marketing managers/executive to fulfill their trade marketing responsibilities
Qualifications & Experience Required:
? Bachelor degree or above in Marketing or a Business related major from full-time university
? Minimum 6 years of experience in sales or marketing position in tourism industry
o Strong understanding to China outbound market
o Relationship development with private and public sector people and organizations
? Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
? Positive thinking, high degree of self motivation, reliable, persistent and result-orientated
? Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
? Proven project management skills with demonstrated ability to translate into action plans and measurable outcomes achieved
? Successful negotiation / mediation skills
? Considerable out of hours work and travel will be required
