Job Description
Operations
? Managing a cluster of restaurants in Shanghai
? Overseeing new restaurant set up, from supply chain to human resources, equipment and infrastructure evaluation and purchasing
? Devising and implementing standard operating procedures that increase efficiency of operation whilst delivering cost and speed savings, improvements in quality
? Ensuring suppliers and products meet necessary internal and external control standards
? Planning and managing new restaurant build outs
? Ensure that restaurants comply with all legislation regarding Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Licensing
? Maintaining and improving internal control standards for hygiene & cleanliness, food preparation & production and health & safety
? Ensuring that the business has the highest ethical and governance standards and is at all times in compliance with anti-bribery and similar legislation
Marketing
? Evaluating ways to improve and grow the business via operational improvements, marketing and promotional activities
? Coordinating marketing partnerships and activities such that the restaurant level execution is impactful
? Support marketing in executing customer and media focused events to strengthen BL brand awareness in the market
People
? Recruiting the best possible service and kitchen team candidates in the market before our competitors
? Managing and mentoring your direct reports to ensure the highest levels of performance and engagement
? Training and developing restaurant staff to deliver consistently outstanding service to our customers and creating an international standard customer service experience
? Retaining our best performing staff. Coaching our underperformers – failing this ensuring that persistent underperformers are removed from the team
? Manage a transparent and fair reward and recognition system built around regular appraisals and timely, actionable feedback
? Ensuring that the workplace environment is fair and inclusive – is free of discrimination, harassment bullying, favoritism and other unacceptable behaviors
Finance
? Preparing yearly business budgets for restaurant branches and delivering on agreed business targets
? Delivering timely and accurate weekly/monthly business reports to Management
? Monitor key business performance metrics such as wastage, spoilage, COGS and suggest ways for improved efficiency
? Review menu mix performance and suggest improvements that deliver better AVSH, turn time and margin performance
? Maintaining and improving IT solutions deployed within the restaurants and back office for increased efficiencies and data transparency
? Ensuring that the necessary controls are in place and being policed to avoid fraud, theft, pilferage, etc.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:-
? A passion for delivering first class service and superb food quality to customers
? At least 5 years experience working in an international standard hospitality operation, 2 of which managing multiple locations
? A clear and proven dedication to customer service excellence
? Excellent people skills with an ability to create strong, motivated, and cohesive teams
? Excellent attention to detail and an unwavering ability to uphold standards across a hospitality operation
? Excellent human resources skills - recruitment, coaching, training and development, team building and motivation
? A firm understanding of PRC operational regulations
? Great time management and organization skills, good administration and IT skills
? Native Mandarin and fluent English
