Key Responsibilities:

? Actively participate in implementing the legal function's support of TCL- IMAX's business growth initiatives in China.
? Review, draft and negotiate various legal documents such as contracts, licenses, leases, sales, purchases, deal memos, etc.
? Develop strong hands-on experience and working relationships with business partners at all levels of the TCL- IMAX
? Revise form agreements and standard terms and conditions.
? Prepare business contacts and administer legal matters.
? Follow-up and research on the latest local laws and regulations, e.g. on laws affecting hiring, dismissal, redundancy, disciplinary actions, compensation, benefits and training of TCL- IMAX staff; work with HR to draft and/or review human resources policies and manuals.
? Actively communicate and follow up on obligations and opportunities arising in connection with Home Theatre projects as well as other commercial transactions.
? Monitor and improve process for corporate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
? Assist with litigation support from time to time, including supervision of outside counsel.
? Perform other legal and business affairs-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

? Top-tier Law School graduate in China.
? Strong Chinese law qualification, admission to P.R.C. Bar.
? Fluent in both Chinese and English and ability to draft and communicate in both languages.
? Minimum 3 years PQE in a leading local/international law firm or 5 years in-house role in the PRC with a multinational corporation with contract drafting and negotiating experience.
? Practice in General Corporate, HR, Financing and/or M&A
? Extensive, in-depth knowledge of contract, commercial and other relevant law.
? Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with peers, colleagues, clients and outside counsel; must be polished and poised in communicating with executives, external clients and their counsel.
? Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
? Highly motivated with ability to motivate and energize others.
? Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
? Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, dynamic environment; responsive.
? Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity of information.
? Proficient computer skills.

About TCL-IMAX

The company is invested by TCL and IMAX to design, manufacture, market and provide content for high end home theater systems. The parties have spent a great deal of time and resources studying this marketplace and believe there is strong demand, particularly in emerging markets such as China, Russia and the Middle East for a branded, premium quality, fully integrated home theatre solution. The IMAX-TCL home theater system will feature best-in-class video, audio and theater design technology, based upon IMAX’s proprietary cinema intellectual property. The system will not only be able to play ordinary movies, shows and sports events, but also special IMAX enabled content, with all the visual and sound effects that the IMAX technology enables. Owners will have access to content on the day it is released theatrically in the States, China or elsewhere. They will also have on demand access to a substantial library of IMAX content that has been created over the years.
