DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for creating design concepts and translating the same into details design and execution. Work with multiple teams to determine proper design solutions.
- Monitor design development, submission and relevant documentations.
- Responsible for the design work in all stages of the projects, including:
- Review & propose concept design, schematic design, design development, detail design, construction drawings, materials & fittings selection, mock-ups and construction.
- Assist in the recommendation & appointment of consultants, and working with these appointed consultants for all design related matters.
- Review completed designs and subsequent rectification and improvement works.
- Ensure all design proposals are coordinated with respective engineering disciplines.
- Delivery of Designs to the Implementation team as per agreed designs and deliverables. Work closely with the Project Manager to implement and execute projects according to schedule and costs.
- Creation and maintenance of the Standard parts library according to the defined product design. Provide support for conversion services from 2D to 3D drawings of products, parts and room layouts.
- Need to work closely with suppliers and vendors to understand the design parameters.
- Assist in the preparation of construction drawings, equipments and contractors/vendors selection.
- Involved in developing tools and technologies for design such as AutoCAD and 3DMAX software. Also involved in developing and adhering to industry design standards and requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Interior designing.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in laboratory interior design, building design or other engineering design works. Fresh graduate may also apply.
- Strong communication skills and able to work with colleagues at different levels and departments.
- Meticulous and attentive to details, strong sense of creativity, innovative and sensitive to the latest industry standards/trends.
- Required skill(s): Auto CAD, 3D Max, MS Office, MS Projects.
