职位描述

This is a senior position and will be responsible for leading the New Product Development Industrialization, Qualification Engineering, and Industrialization Test Engineering team, continuously driving them to achieve their key performance goals and functions, which in turn are linked to organization goals and objectives.Guides the team in innovation activities and helps them in their certification process.

This position strives for the successful Industrialization of new products, transfer products, and end to end Project Management.From a DFM (Design for Manufacturing standpoint) standpoint, project management of key company initiatives, management of our subcontractors supporting SITX requirements and support management for the OEM/ODM Plant. In addition you will be a leader of change and business process re-engineering


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

New Product Development - 40%

This involves the introduction and establishment of new product methodologies, processes and the development of a critical path in all new product development. This means the identification of a critical path in a NPD, the assessment and management of risk and the successful achievement of the schedule.


Subcontracting - 10%

This involves the development and implementation a subcontracting strategy for the SITX Plant. This means the development and identification of low value SKU's and outsourcing therein, whilst still maintaining high value products thus expanding the plants capacity. This results in better utilization of our value and drives costs down by outsourcing low value products. Primarily the outsourcing is of labor and overhead costs.

Qualification Engineering - 30%

This involves development of a strategy that will quickly turn around a component qualification of company commodities. Will be working closely with the commodity management team in work on the alternative sourced suppliers, and material alternatives. Responsibility also includes designing and implementing processes, evaluation of tooling capacity, cycle time and manpower requirements within our vendors for further cost and quality improvements.

Industrialization Test Engineering - 20%

This involves ensuring effectiveness of the test process and the design of new test processes and fixtures/equipment to support new product design and maintain the existing designs for high yield, low field failure performance. Involves coordinating with design centers and corporate test engineering from different business locations worldwide.

The new designs involve all steps from conceptualization to final fixtures and include both hard and software design.


SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

Position may also involve the development, implementation, and assessment of key projects/programs that add value to the organization over a long term basis, as well as R&D functions that support strategic OCP initiatives.


This position requires demonstration of leadership and change management when it comes to people, process and procedures. It focuses on doing more with less and having a general business process re-engineering background to ensure that APC keeps moving into a contemporary lean manufacturing organization.


To Provide problem solving methodologies and have experience in leading change projects that have tangible results, drives problems to the end solution and abolishes the root cause, thus creating and driving overall improvements for the SITX Plant.


Other Projects

This involves the development of key projects that add value to the organization over a long term basis.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree or Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.

• 15 years of working experience in a fast-paced high volume consumer electronics or electro mechanical manufacturing environment.

• 8 to 10 years of a manufacturing operations managerial capacity.

• Must have experience in handling and introducing new product to manufacturing and DFM reviews with overseas engineering centers.

• Master or Black Belt Six Sigma is an advantage
