Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
? Establish and maintain EHS management system based on Corporate requirement, Chinese laws and OHSAS standards;
? Oversee, support and understand the impact of EHS businesses as it relates to the sites in China
? Provide guidance and support to the BUs/functional leaders regarding corporate EHS policies, procedures, standards and national regulations
? Lead the EHS action team to monitor and ensure all EHS policy and regulation are effectively implemented;
? Arrange and conduct EHS training, promotion and communication to improve employee’s awareness and competence of EHS;
? Ensure emergency response plans are in place and aligned with local regulatory, regional, divisional and corporate requirements
? Track the EHS requirement of government and build effective communication with government;
? Establish and implement processes for internal and external timely communication of significant EHS issues
? Assist in the prevention of work-related illness and injury and maximize employee protection.
? All other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications:
? Major in engineering background

Experience Qualifications:
? BS degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental or occupational health and Safety sciences or equivalent combination of training & experience
? Masters in environmental engineering preferred -At least 7 to 12 years’ experience in the environmental, health, & safety field
? Strong knowledge of local environmental and safety regulations
? Experience in Industrial MNC
? Ability to influence up, down and across the organization
? Should possess strong leadership, training, problem solving, and decision making skills
? Ability to prioritize effectively and serve multiple sites
? Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
? Should have strong oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to travel 25-50% of the time to other company operations within cities of responsibility
? Fluent in English
? Ability to achieve goals independently within a challenging time frame.
