Job Title: Project Management Director
Direct Report to: COO
Dotted line Report to: Director Global Project Management Office
Location: Shanghai

Position Purpose:
We are increasing our capabilities to develop, industrialize and produce new wireless products. We will run cost reduction activities of existing products through sourcing, Industrialization and engineering initiatives. We will start executing mid- and long-term advanced technology and platform studies. We will execute continuous improvements in the production to reach excellence in manufacturing. All product development, cost reduction, advanced technology, platform, and production improvement activities will be executed in projects under the lead of a dedicated project manager; the projects have a defined start and end, with given objectives and KPIs in accordance to our rules and processes. We will build a strong project management organization, which hosts the project managers, defines the tools and principles for execution of the projects in accordance with the global rules and processes and facilitates the success of the objective of the organization over the next years.

Key Job Responsibilities:
To the PMO organization
？ Leads the project management organization, a team of professional project managers;
？ Allocates the resources of project managers to the projects;
？ Coordinates the link into projects (e.g. by assigning local project managers) which runs in different locations (e.g. product development outside Shanghai and industrialization in Shanghai);
？ Monitors the project progress through defined KPIs and reports early significant deviations from the plan;
？ Supports to solve critical situations during the execution of projects by early involvement and escalation to responsible management;
？ Supports the professional development of the project managers by giving individual objectives, identifying training needs and having training plans in place, as well as monitoring the progress of each member of the project managers;
？ Reports the progress of the projects to the global project management office;
？ Is the interface to the global project management organization, especially participates and contributes in the further development of processes, tools, and best practice of project management including the evolution of the PLC and ATLC; propose improvements to the project management process when necessary;

To the COO Asia
？ Creates a cross-functional environment with integrated project teams by close, open, and transparent cooperation with the management of R & D, Product management, sales, procurement, industrialization, and operation departments for all product lines;
？ Supports the annual budgeting process for new product development and cost reduction projects.
？ Define and implement necessary tools to facilitate project execution and improve working efficiency (for example resource management).
？ Manages the relationship with external research partners executing research projects (e.g. Universities, Institutes, labs)
？ Is the interface to and manages the relationship to standardization bodies in China.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
？ Bachelor degree or above in Engineering or equivalent. MBA will be a plus
？ 5-10 years experience with Project Management
？ RF or Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Software Engineering, and Industrialization experience preferred
？ Manufacturing systems experience
？ Have the working experience being in charge of projects from beginning to the end independently and successfully
？ Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
？ Knowledge of antenna testing techniques
？ Budget control and planning
？ With logic thinking / analyzing and problem solving skill
