Title: System Administrator

Reports to: CTO

Key Responsibilities:
? Install and configure hardware, Linux /Unix/Window/Andriod OS, software and application updates on a multi-server professional A/V computing system.
? Set up hardware, software and system data file structure for an audio and visual laboratory. Check and repair Linux/Unix/Window file systems.
? Responsible for the implementation of network security measures as required by content providers.
? Monitor the operation of the multi-server A/V computing system, track the system logs and prevent potential problems. Manage disk usage and network loads.
? Provide daily technical and IT support to the R&D group, including hardware device connections, software installations and transferring audio/video data to specific servers and storage devices.
? Install or reinstall proprietary and commercial video and audio processing software. Debug problems related to hardware or OS.
? Responsible for tape drive I/O operation, monitoring and scheduling.
? Write shell scripts (Bourne & Perl) for task scheduling and automation. Schedule recurring maintenance and monitoring tasks with Linux Cron and Crontab.
? Responsible for hardware debugging and replacement. Set up external hard drives for file exchange with external customers.
? Responsible for video screenings. Compile image data stream for display.
? Installing and integrating new technologies
? Installing and configuring hardware, OS’s, software, and application update.
? Maintain good vendor relations
Requirements:
? 5 yrs+ experience as processional A/V system administrator for high data traffic sites with multiple servers.
? Proficient at script programming.
? Expertise with network administration.
? Experience with MySQL.
? Extensive experience with Windows user administration.
? In-depth understanding of NFS/RAID, FTP, TAR and LTO tape systems.
? Experience with WAN and related transmission technologies.
? Extensive troubleshooting techniques
? Working experience with varied levels of Technical Support, including phone, on-site, and remote access.
? Able to lift up to 20 lbs to chest height
? Able to prioritize and multi-task
? Great interpersonal effectiveness
? Self-motivated

About TCL-IMAX

The company is invested by TCL and IMAX to design, manufacture, market and provide content for high end home theater systems. The parties have spent a great deal of time and resources studying this marketplace and believe there is strong demand, particularly in emerging markets such as China, Russia and the Middle East for a branded, premium quality, fully integrated home theatre solution. The IMAX-TCL home theater system will feature best-in-class video, audio and theater design technology, based upon IMAX’s proprietary cinema intellectual property. The system will not only be able to play ordinary movies, shows and sports events, but also special IMAX enabled content, with all the visual and sound effects that the IMAX technology enables. Owners will have access to content on the day it is released theatrically in the States, China or elsewhere.
