Brief Description

The Senior Product Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

- Responsible for the successful development and placement of the assigned product

- Lead the marketing efforts of assigned product area

- Engage with customers to develop and implement plans for new market penetration, including business model definition, establishment of risk sharing partnerships, product definition and product promotion

- Conduct competitive and industry analysis and benchmarking, through routine gathering and reporting of competitive intelligence, Voice of Customer and customer needs

- Gather and provide assessment of the market, provide leadership for individual application win-strategies including pricing, delivery, and commercial terms

- Negotiate commercial terms, as required

- Establish the project marketing budgets and manage outside marketing consultancies, as necessary

- Effectively manage assigned financial resources

- Define and recommend target costs for new and existing products

- Work with Project Management team to assure clear hand off of new projects to their execution team

- Work with Sourcing to help develop Request for Quote process to receive firm bids from contractors and suppliers as needed on labor quotations

- Help develop a process to refine the written proposal process assuring accuracy of proposals prior to submitting to customers - Build and maintain solid relationships with key customers and end-users

- Map current and future capabilities needed to obtain the product development initiatives

- Coordinate with product leadership teams to analyze growth opportunities and lead data driven business recommendations

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

- At least 5 additional years of experience in a commercial or strategic marketing position

- At least 3 years of experience with business / competitor and market analysis, and business

- Willingness and ability to travel internationally

Qualifications Desired

- Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering preferred

- Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) preferred

- Current knowledge of the industry

- Prior experience with safety critical avionics products is preferred

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

- Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills

- Capable contemporary leader able to lead by influence

- Strong executive level presentation skills
