Brief DescriptionThe Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Platform Staff Engineer will provide technical guidance for the development, integration, and verification of the GE AVIC joint venture IMA platform. This role sets and directs the activities of the IMA Platform I&V team, supports the IMA Platform Integration and Verification Technical Manager for planning, controlling, and monitoring the project. This role requires strong communications skills with an in-depth knowledge of IMA related technologies



Primary Responsibilities
？ Provide technical direction for all aspects of the IMA Platform I&V effort, including IMA Platform Integration, Test Case/Procedure Development, ICD Generation, Configuration Data Verification, Network Conformity, Test System Specification, Robustness Testing, Partitioning Analysis, etc.
？ Ensure compliance with essential processes including SAE ARP-4754, DO-297, and GE AVIC internal processes
？ Establish and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are achieved
？ Maintain alignment between IMA Platform technical teams including Software, Hardware, System, I&V, Certification team, etc.
？ Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the IMA platform to customer and business needs



Qualifications Required
？ Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required
？ Bachelor or above Degree in Electronic Engineering, Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering, and Computer Science.
？ Minimum of 5 years validation and verification experience
？ Minimum of 3 years technical leadership experience
？ Commercial avionics system development experience
？ Avionics integration experience
？ Hands on laboratory experience
？ Solid oral and written communication skills (English required)



Qualifications Desired
？ Experience with IMA systems particularly the GE AVIC IMA
？ Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate extensive internal and external project resources
？ Demonstrated knowledge of avionics standards such as ARP 4754, ARP 4761, DO-297, DO-178B, DO-254, ARINC 664, ARINC 429, ARINC 825, and DO-160
？ Strong negotiation skills with ability to influence customers, management, peers, and subordinates
