Quality Assurance Manager – Produce (Food/Vegetable/Fruit)
Work Location: Shanghai
Company: A sizable Europe buying office
Responsibilities:
1. to deliver the technical process for a specific category or sub-category and to ensure that my products and services consistently meet company’s quality, safety, legal and ethical standards
2. Participate in design reviews to provide quality input with particular focus on safety and consumer touch points
3. Developing our range in the specific category by keeping up to date with product and packaging innovations
4. Lead the development and execution of the design validation testing for qualification prior to product launch
5. Establish the quality requirements and protocols for existing and new products, as well as inspection standards/checklist for inspectors.
6. Participating in sourcing trip meetings to assess products and suppliers and to provide technical input
7. Developing a food supply chain that delivers the required quality, safety, legal and ethical standards
8. Lead problem solving efforts for current product, design, testing, and business issue resolution
9. Reviewing key critical path deadlines and ensuring they are being met
Requirement:
1. Graduated agronomist
2. 4 years’ experience working in the agro furniture industry or a role advising farms on agricultural practices
3. Working experience to include interaction with farms
4. Extensive understanding of pesticide management and good agricultural practices
5. Product experience in vegetable or fruits
6. Fluent in Chinese, confident enough in English
7. Computer literate
8. Behaviour: volunteer and independent, resilient and collaborative, attention to details
9. Oral English fluency
