Senior Application Engineer
Job Description:
As a Senior EBU Applications Engineer at Micron, you will provide technical expertise and value to customers who integrate company products with their own. Your assignments include interpretations of designs, applications, and service information. You will typically interact with sales team, manufacturing, and marketing personnel; gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products. Part of your job will be to make or assist in technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer training. You may work through all phases of customer interaction including customer analysis, design implementation and product manufacturing. You will also represent customers interests at technical meetings within the company.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Provide prompt technical support on any customer opportunities or issues raised by the FAE, Sales, or EBU teams:
-Develop a detailed and steadily increasing knowledge of the product(s) supported;
-Know and communicate feature differences between all product families and product densities;
-Provide design-win and design-in support to FAE’s/customers as needed;
-Provide failure analysis debug support for FAE’s/customers;
-Work with engineering teams or other BU AE’s when necessary for product debug, testing, and/or validation.

Develop and Deliver Technical Training:
-Develop and present training for the Field, Distributor, and worldwide EBU team as requested, at least annually;
-The AE is expected to teach the FAE as much as the FAE can absorb during each customer engagement, with the desire that the FAE can support similar issues independently in the future (dependent on the bandwidth and the product competence of each FAE);
-Provide training and guidance as needed on EBU products and roadmap strategies to the FAE team in support of generating new business.

Support Marketing in the Product Definition Phase:
-Engage worldwide marketing stakeholders to provide input on decisions regarding product features and performance requirements;
-Provide marketing inputs for technical aspects of the product definition in the PDT or Advocate for the customer to PDT (Prioritize market requirements, special requests) or Advocate for the PDT to the customer (PDT wants to change a spec).

Provide all technical documentation for new or modified products:
-Develop Datasheets, Errata document, Migration guide, Application Notes;
-Oversee development of necessary models and software required on schedule (before product sample delivery, or sooner as needed);
-Develop product launch documentation as requested by Product Marketing/Sales teams;
-Provide updates to documentation (Compatibility guide, Features document, competitive analysis).

Provide New Business Support:
-Define and develop competitive information database and collateral for the marketing teams;
-Work with Strategic Marketing, Architecture , the Product Development Team (PDT) to understand and synthesize customer requirements for future projects.


Education:
? Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering.


Requirements:
? Fluent English;
? 5+ years for senior level role of semiconductor industry experience. In a senior position a true experienced candidate who already covered this role will be typically preferred;
? Since the Infotainment and the Internet Connectivity represent the area of major growth for the in-car electronics business in the next decade, selected candidates are required to have a strong technical background on NAND and managed NAND Flash Memory Products as well as knowledge and experience on:
o Memory validation methods/techniques using Oscilloscope and logic Analyzer; experience on tools like Flash Memory Programmers & Timing Signal Analysis methodology;
JTAG Debugger knowledge will be considered as a plus;
o Hardware & Software application debug for system performance enablement/optimization both on Controller memory interface configuration and SW driver;
o Chipset reference platform environment for product design-in and validation;
? Proven customer support / facing / commercial exposure;
? Proven capability of dealing with complexity and an ability to utilize/involve multiple cross functional areas resources effectively to deliver timely feedback to internal, but especially, external customers;
? Availability to travel internationally. Very short notice (<24h) travel will be necessary in case of technical issue at customer site.
