Job Description
As a System Compatibility Engineer in the Corporate Engineering Group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for system-level failure analysis, characterization, and experimentation as requested. You will be running and configuring diagnostic software, designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, creating custom tools, and presenting data to customers both inside and outside Micron. On occasion you may need to carry out these responsibilities at the customer site. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc…). You will work with other engineers within the Systems Compatibility Group, in Application Engineering Groups, Product Engineering, Return Material Authorization (RMA), and throughout Micron.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Manage Micron Product Qualifications with Internal and External Customers
Schedule qual and individual tests
Modify test scripts and code
Create and document test procedures
Analyze and compile test results
Provide report results to the external customer
Debug Micron Product qualification failures
Design and Implement Micron Product Qualification Automation
Create test scripts
Create and modify hardware that controls test parameters (i.e. temperature or voltage)
Interface customer diagnostics with pre-existing automation scheme
Collaborate with internal software group
Interface with external customer
Perform Failure Analysis (FA)
Utilize diagnostics to reproduce the original failure
Identify failure mechanism
Collaborate with Product Engineering and Return Material Authorization (RMA)
Communicate findings with customer
Perform System Characterization
Use software, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and other tools to understand memory usage
Develop software to interpret data
Collaborate with Product and Application Engineering
Communicate results
Education
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Engineering - Electrical
Related field of study
