QA Engineer – Contract Manufacturing
Job description
As a quality engineer, you will be responsible for managing the quality aspects of your assigned Micron subcontractor. The subcontractor may provide component assembly, memory module assembly or SSD assembly services to Micron.
Primary duties:
? Weekly review of quality line performance and holding the subcontractor accountable for any missed yield targets
? Assignment of corrective actions to the subcontractor as needed for issues that need to be escalated
? Quarterly detailed technical process audits for the entire subcontractor assembly line
? Conducting quarterly quality reviews and maintaining scorecards
? Driving corrective actions and closure for field returns (RMA’s)
? Driving the subcontractor for progress on continuous improvement projects (CIP) aimed at improving overall product quality
? Host any Micron customer audits at the subcontractor and defend the subcontractors process accordingly
Other Responsibilities and Tasks:
? Response and follow up with subcontractors with quality issues and provide and identify root cause
containment and corrective actions

? Review and follow up with subcontractor to collect data and provide risk assessment for material
dispositions
? Provide support and problem analysis based on feedback from internal and external customers

Experience Requirements:

? 4+ years working in semiconductor assembly / memory module SSD manufacturing
? 2+ years experience with detailed process auditing
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
