Role Summary/Purpose

The CTC Leader will lead and drive EHS programs, processes, and culture in entire CTC & CTP campus while focuses on the support to R&D activities. He or she should demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. The individual will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business and CTC operation's strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

- Promote a positive EHS culture at all levels of the organization by providing leadership and technical expertise for site operations;
- Partner with the site leadership team to establish and maintain robust EHS systems and programs;
- Ensure proper staffing and professional development for EHS team members supporting the CTC / CTP operations.
- Be an active member of the CTC Operational Leadership team
- Ensure EHS performance excellence by tangible measurements, program evaluation, digitization, and employee involvement;
- Drive systematic EHS management program improvement and implementation;
- Oversee the delivery of applicable EHS and compliance training and monitor compliance by implementing a robust compliance assurance program;
- Promote EHS awareness among leadership team and employees;
- Build and develop site EHS team by recruiting EHS talents, developing team's expertise, energizing the team and retaining the best talents;
- With reference to GE's Environmental and Health & Safety Frameworks, coordinate with, and providing direction to, site EHS Team, Element Champions/Owners, R&D Lab Managers and Research Scientists;
- Follow GE Corporate's EHS program developments, and coordinate with GE Global Research's EHS leaders around the world and other EHS leaders in the region.
- Maintain a strong awareness of relevant Chinese and global EHS regulations that impact the operations in CTC/CTP campus.
- Internally communicate changes in regulations and provide recommendations for the development of site program to ensure continued compliance;
- Meet with government agencies;
- Perform various program management and compliance audits;

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health , Safety, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university;
- 3+ years' experience of managing people, projects, and EHS compliance;
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities, and make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a diverse team
- Have a high energy level and the ability to energize others;
- Proven project and program management skills , results and process oriented;
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, training, and negotiation skills
- Strong willingness to professionally develop

Desired Characteristics

- Minimum of five years practical EHS experience in a multi-national company and three years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing EHS in R&D operation
- Familiar with GE EHS Framework or similar EHS management system.
- Positive attitude and strong self-resilience.

中心坐落于上海张江高科技园区，占地面积47,000平方米，于2003年5月投入使用，是国内最大的独立外资研发机构之一，也是国内极少数具有基础科学研究能力的企业研发中心。
