ONE SOURCE APPAREL – (OSA) a fast-growing global sourcing company is looking for an experienced Merchandise Manager, with high energy and a get-it-done spirit, to join our Shanghai team!
ONE SOURCE APPAREL (OSA) specializes in full package manufacturing of high quality active and casual apparel. OSA’sHome Office is located Portsmouth, New Hampshire USA, with fully staffed OSA representative offices in Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh. OSA has a tremendously strong background in textiles and garments, and work extensively with both knit and woven apparel. We offer the customer a full range of services including textile selection / engineering, garment design, sourcing, manufacturing, quality and social compliance.
With offices in North America and throughout Asia, we have employees on site to protect the interests of our customers through every step of the development, design and manufacturing process, to ensure garments are produced to specifications and expectations.
Position: Merchandising Manager (Sr. Merchandising Manager)
Working location: OSA Shanghai, China Representative Office (CRO)

KeyResponsibilities:

1. Reports directly to Chief Representative of the China Regional Office by maintaining active communication of challenges, opportunities and need for support.
2. Work daily with U.S. home office team and Shanghai team to manage entire product life cycle with China suppliers from quoting costs to product development to bulk production to shipment.
3. Work closely with factories to ensure they fully and accurately understand requirements for all tech packs, time lines, pricing, packaging, delivery deadlines, quality standards and factory compliance;
4. Lead CRO merchandising team to ensure quick and accuratecommunication between factories and the U.S. home office;
5. Negotiate directly with factories for 'best' terms (including costing, delivery dates,payment terms etc.) for the company;
6. Drive rapid, accurate sample development and provide input from product development and production perspectives to achieve efficiency and avoid errors;
7. Manage, drive and escalate quality and delivery issues for quick resolution;
8. Motivate, coach and empower team members. Bring together co-workers for effective teamwork and be a good team player;
9. Manage and direct Garment QC Staff to ensure all garment quality requirements are met.
10. Actively suggest new garment sources and assist in sourcing and evaluating new suppliers as necessary;

Job requirements:

1. Diploma or UniversityDegree holder in apparel merchandising or a related field is preferred;
2. 7~10 years of merchandising experience in apparel industrywith technical outerwear capacity and managerial experience;
3. Outstanding leadership and strongly independent, with proven ability to lead a team to achieve business goal;
4. Strong communication (Mandarin and English), negotiation, and problem solving skills working directly with factories and the U.S. home office;
5. Rich knowledge of apparel product development process;
6. Must possess a large working knowledge of multiple garment factory sources, for all types of garment manufacturing.
7. Strong in sourcing / budgeting / business development; with experience preferable in USA/Canada/Australian market
8. Must have excellent command of English, both written and verbal
9. Job requires frequent domestic travel to garment and textile factories as needed
