Job description
Responding directly to Carrefour Chief Executive Officer, the Internal Audit Department objective is to control the risks inherent to its retail activity on financial, operational, legal and image aspects. The assignments performed on various subjects - merchandise and marketing, store operations, stock management, expansion and shopping mall, treasury, human resources etc. - aim at assessing the level of internal control and the reliability of financial statements.
Joining the Asia Internal Audit department is the best way for a newly graduated student or a former external/internal auditor to discover a Group such as Carrefour, present in more than 30 countries. This job allows to quickly take responsibilities on the audited process and to perform corresponding relevant recommendations to the top management. Education and Experience
We are looking for applicants with at least 3 years of experience with the following requirements:
- Education performed in top universities (a curriculum including studies in a foreign country is preferred) including accounting and/or finance courses among others.
- Strong accounting and finance experience covering a broad scope (2 years of experience in an external audit firm or a high level finance department for instance).
- A team supervision or management experience, either in internal/external audit firm or inside a corporate department.
Personal skills
After a training period as an assistant team leader, the team leader will have to be able to lead an audit assignment autonomously which means supervising 2 to 6 people and ensuring the relationship with Carrefour country's hierarchy. This involves:
- Having leadership skills in order to ensure the correct realization of the assignment by defining the work to be performed and giving relevant orientations to the auditors.
- Being inquisitive and eager to learn new methodologies, to use the various company IT systems etc.
- Performing well in analyzing and synthesizing data from various processes, including some subjects that have never been tackled before.
- Presenting interpersonal skills to ensure good communication with auditees from different hierarchical levels all along the assignment and to present sensitive conclusions to the Executive Committees.
Technical skills
- Language: fluent in Mandarin and English, spoken and written, French would be a plus.
- Accounting: good knowledge with capacity of fully linking accounting and business.
- IT: perfect command of Office (data analysis, PPt presentation, report writing). A specific attention is set on the PowerPoint skills required for good clarification of the audit conclusions presentation.
