Job Summary:

As a Developer, you will lead the study and prototype development in new technology areas, i.e. Software Defined Network (SDN), including pre-study, requirement analysis, prototype design, integration & verication. And you will also have opportunity to demostrate and present the new technology towards Ericsson internal stakeholders or customers. The location you will work is Beijing, China.

Role & Responsibility:

· Drive the prototypes development and technology studies in the new technology areas, i.e. Software Defined Network (SDN)

· Collaborate with colleagues across R&D organizations to secure the successful delivery of technology leadership projects as well as Proof of Concept (PoC) for specific customers

· Drive technology leadership

· Support the customer units in technology related activities

Qualifications

· 5 or more years of experience in software development, preferable in the telecommunication industry

· Solid Java knowledge and hands-on experience

· Hands-on experience with at least one major JEE application server is required (JBoss is an advantage). Basic configuration and administration, deployment and optimization.

· C/C++ knowledge and hands-on experience is a plus

· Practical knowledge of Linux, database and shell script

· Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)

· Knowledge in SDN, Cloud, and Orchestration

· Familiar with network management and related protocols, i.e. SNMP, NetConf, REST.

· Knowledge in IP and Ethernet services, i.e. E-Line/E-LAN, IP/MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, is preferred

· Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in collaboration with other technologists

· Strong problem solving skill

· Proficiency in English both verbally and in writing is a must.
