Key responsibilities：
The Body Structure and Exterior department is responsible for developing the complete body structure and exterior of all Volvo vehicles. The department consists of following technical areas: body structure, closures, exterior trim/systems and paint systems. The main tasks of the BIW engineer are as follows:
1. Design and release the Body Structure components for all phases of the development, from the first concept all throughout the product life.
2. Coordinate the work for the BIW components both towards external suppliers and towards the Volvo internal organization.
3. Develop, monitor and update relevant time plans for this level and current task.
4. Report the status and forecast for the project to SU (Sub subsystem leader)
5. Take action to solve deviations and immediately report them

Qualification：
1. Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
2. Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with car body component and system development
3. Experience from thin sheet metal design to materials with knowledge in stamping and welding.
4. Minimum 2 years of automotive experience
5. Thorough knowledge of CAD/CAE tools utilized in automotive engineering such as CATIA V5.
6. Skills in computer programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
7. Experience of project management/engineering of BIW.
8. Fluent in speaking, presentation and written communication skills in English
