Diagnostic Development Engineers are working with a group of Board and FPGA engineers to design and sustain Ericsson's LTE products. Its function spans across hardware diagnoses, functional validation, and system performance / stress test.

The successful candidate will work with the team in a wide variety of tasks ranging from design requirements analysis, test algorithm development, specification composing and reviews, BSP / Device Driver and Test Case coding, proto builds debugging and verification test, field issue resolution and manufacturing support. This position will give you a significant opportunity to develop and demonstrate your technical skills.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications and experience are mandatory:

- Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related degree with 3+ years of working experience on Telecom product development.

- Experience in hardware system diagnostics program development

- Knowledge on Embedded System, RTOS (VxWorks or Linux) and Data Structure

- Deep understanding on task management, interrupt handling, memory management

- Proficient Assembly and C language advanced programming skills

- Capability of reading hardware design specifications and component datasheets

- Team working and communication skills are essential.

- Fluent oral communications in both Chinese and English

- Solid English written skills on design documentation and report

- Good team player and cooperation ability

Knowledge and experience in the following areas would be an asset:

- Understanding of LTE, WCDMA, ATM, IP, Ethernet.

- Knowledge of PowerPC processing technologies (including MPCxxxx processor, DDR memory, FLASH), Local/PCI bus controller, Ethernet MAC/PHY and other mainstream Bus Architectures/Protocols such as DMA, UTOPIA, I2C, SPI, etc.

- Experience in supporting Board, FPGA & SW engineers on design integration.

- Experience dealing with manufacturer product introduction teams and facilities.

- Experience with the following tools: Wind River vision-ICE and visionCLICK / Workbench, Freescale CodeWarrior.
