Essential Responsibilities

The Lean Manufacturing Specialist 6 is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
· Lead Lean Six Sigma quality initiative for manufacturing, facilitating breakthrough improvements in key processes, and communicating to and influencing individuals at all levels
· Work with process owners to map key processes, identify, prioritize and drive process improvement opportunities that contribute to growth and increased revenue
· Drive simplification from ITO through OTR, from Proposal inquiry to Delivery SPAN metrics improvement
· Facilitate Action Work Outs to generate projects to achieve Business Lean Objectives
· Report results and issues to appropriate audiences including key leaders and process team members
· Lead and manage multiple Six Sigma projects using DMAIC, DFSS, and CAP tools

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or project Engineering)

Desired Characteristics

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Systems Engineering is preferred
· Prior process change and Best Practice implementation experience is preferred
· Ability to work in a cross-functional matrixed organization
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills
· Six Sigma training is preferred
· Ability to develop and execute priorities and plans for self and others
· Strong business acumen
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
