Help Desk Technician
The role of the Help Desk Technician is to provide first level technical support to staff across all locations with hardware, software and operational problems. Troubleshoot help desk requests to resolution, document issues/resolutions and coordinate responses from senior support staff. Conduct training and create self help documents to staff on hardware, software usage. In addition this role is responsible for managing and maintaining all IT assets.
Job Description:
1.Maintain the security and functionality of all software and hardware
2.Responsible for the local and remote support of the company's network of 200+ computers in Asia Pacific region
3.Maintain/upgrade office network infrastructure as needed
4.Log all jobs in HelpDesk system and follow through with preset timeframes for timely resolution of all faults
5.Proficient in setting up servers (both hardware/software) and managing active directory
6.Assist with project installations, configuration of servers, and ongoing maintenance.
7.Train client staff on basic use of hardware, software and remote access
8.Provide recommendations and / or perform upgrades on systems working with senior IT staff
9.Other tasks assigned by managers
Candidate requirement:
1.More than 1-2 year experience in a Service Desk/Help Desk position
2.Good trouble shooting skills to common desktop/email/website related problems
3.Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills. Strong listener, patience on the telephone is a must
4.Relevant University or College degree
