GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Be fluent in English or Japanese both written and spoken.

2. Install, configure and maintain servers running Solaris, Linux in both physical and virtual environments. With an emphasis on Solaris experience. Other Unix Experience is a plus.

3. Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network related problems.

4. Ability to work in a project driven environment and take on an architecture and design role as needed.

5. Must be able to follow established processes and procedures.

6. Strong focus on the effective resolution of customer issues.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. 5+ years experience supporting Solaris/Linux operating systems.

2. Experience with High availability & Volume Manager include but not limit to VCS/VxVM

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the English or Japanese language.

4. Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.

5. Experience with virtualization technologies and high availability.

6. Experience with SAN technologies including SAN Switch & Storage Device.

7. Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

8. Must possess a disciplined approach and commitment to delivering on Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

9. Strong analytical approach to problem solving and solution development.

10. Experience working with a very formal change control process.

11. Data backup with NBU/Tivoli experiences a Plus.

12. Oracle or SQL Server database experience a Plus.

13. Disaster Recovery experiences experience a Plus
