职位描述
Lead programming and events
1. Manage a portfolio of industry committees, working with business leaders and Director Committees to develop and implement business plans, develop and deliver programs and activities, ensuing high quality content, relevancy and timeliness.
2. Lead content development and program delivery for Chamber industry forums, including conferences, executive and issue-based forums.
3. Coordinate program content across industry Committees and the Chamber, engaging with key stakeholders for program development, sponsorship, marketing and communications.
Develop Business Intelligence
4. Utilize a range of sources, including Committee leaders, members, partners, research and industry publications, to identify and track industry trends and business issues, including but not limited to market access, regulation and trade issues.
5. Provide status updates on industry issues and other relevant information to membership as required.
6. In cooperation with Publications and Communication Department coordinate and develop industry-relevant content for Chamber publications.
7. Develop and deliver member surveys and undertake research activities relevant to Committee and industry issues.
Retain and expand membership
8. Provide Secretariat function to Committee leadership, communicate with membership on committee activities, represent the Chamber and Committees with members and key stakeholders.
9. Contribute to Chamber membership expansion and retention through membership engagement, new member development and provision of relevant content and programming.
10. Cultivate and develop committee membership to ensure representation across industry and functional segments.
11. Communicate relevant operational guidelines of the Chamber, including those in the Committees Handbook to committee members and other stakeholders to support membership development and engagement.
12. Use social media and other technologies to engage with membership on Committee activities.
Work as a team
13. Proactively contribute to AmCham Shanghai organization by coordinating with other Departments on Committee activities and supporting Chamber-wide initiatives.
14. Engage team members on projects and contribute to team activities.
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Demonstrated ability and experience in working with senior business executives or in a corporate relations environment.
2. Demonstrated ability and experience delivering projects, working as part of a project team and working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver project goals.
3. Demonstrated ability and experience in researching, writing and packaging information to meet the needs of a range of internal and external audiences and stakeholders. Excellent writing skills for a range of media and communication needs essential.
4. Well developed time-management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/activities simultaneously, set clear priorities, work effectively under pressure and deliver to meet deadlines.
5. Native English speaker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment highly desirable. Chinese language ability a plus.
6. Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange and other related programs. Social media experience and literacy highly desirable.
7. Creative ability to introduce new ideas, demonstrate enthusiastic attitudes in working with people and anticipate needs in various situations.
8. A self-starter with a proven capacity to work effectively (both independently and cooperatively) in a team environment coordinating between individuals and departments.
9. Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics or related discipline.
10. Minimum 2 years work experience outside China. Experience working in China or other Asian country highly desirable.
11. Conference and event management experience highly desirable.

It is the third overseas American chamber to operate worldwide, established only three years after the founding of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
