Title: Front-end Developer Intern

Scivantage Shanghai is looking for a front-end web developer to join our team immediately. We're a growing financial software company with great clients (like US Bank, Wells Fargo, Vanguard, Tradeking, Zecco and more) and an incredible roadmap.

Projects we're working on now use HTML5, AngularJS, responsive design/development and LESS/SASS. We need someone who loves keeping up-to-date on the newest advancements in the field and can figure out when to start applying those advancements to client work. We covet automated tested through continuous integration using Jenkins and grunt, Selenium webdriver and more. We are passionate at trying to "make it right".

You'll be a member of our front-end team, working closely with our other fantastic front-end and backend developers during every phase of your projects. You'll also be communicating directly with clients to understand their requirements and present your work. Your job will be fun, challenging, and interesting.

You'll be working on 2-3 projects at any time; typically one large project and a few smaller projects so you don't get burned out.

Skills & Requirements
You'll be:
Developing semantic, browser-briendly HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from requirements. You don't need to be a designer.

Javascript, HTML5 (templating/markup and HTML5 APIs), and CSS3 (inc. CSS3 transitions/animations) – 1+ years experience is preferred.

Working closely with our backend development team on site projects. We'll want and expect your input on the best ways to structure the build - from start to finish.

Finding ways to keep sites fast and lean. You know that performance matters.

Working directly with our deployment managers and clients regularly.

Staying up-to-date on the latest front-end technologies and methodologies, especially as we do increased amounts of mobile websites.

Experience with MVC and Javascript MV* frameworks (current site built with AngularJS) and jQuery,AJAX, JSON. Ability to write modular, robust, well documented code.

Responsive / mobile design (CSS3 media queries, flex box and other fluid layouts, touch screen handling/design) as well as modularizing/optimizing not just the CSS but also the Javascript for high performance/packaging on mobile/tablet version.

Experience building cross browser platform independent websites and the issues associated with getting 1 code base to look great whether on Windows, Mac, Firefox, Webkit, iPad, iPhone, Android, etc...

Managing your code with SVN

Basic Requirements:
1.Experience in web front-end or back-end design
2.Familiar with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
3.Experience with AJAX & Jquery is a plus
4.Experience with web development framework is a plus
5.Self-motivated. Strong desire to learn, practice and share. Proactive team player
6.Experience with TDD is a plus
