Main Purpose
Secure that all cars that are planned and build in the plant, have a correct material structure.



Main Tasks
Product structure control for all cars that are planned
- analyse and structure check of the BOM for the plant
- Monitor the daily changes in the BOM
- Investigate structure errors
- take corrective actions : internally by adapting the local BOM, and externally by giving feedback to the central MP&L PPM dept
- provide information on structure changes to several dept in the plant, when requested.
- analyse and optimise the control system for detecting structure errors.
Coordination of the introduction of running change orders in the plant
- receive and distribute info regarding running changes
- update the local material planning systems with change order information
- Detailed planning of the introduction time fo the change orders, together with other parties involved in the weekly Changenote meeting
(production, supply chain follow up, manufacturing engineering, material handling and the central PPM dept)
- Coordinate the activities of the local Change note group
- participate in meetings together with central departments (PPM, purchase,..) to handle Change note related issues
- Coordinate the introduction of running changes together with logistic servcice providers and /or sequence suppliers when these are involved.
Initiate the necessary meetings and handle possible issues when these occur.
- handle different operational issues with respect to the change order introduction with the parties involved.
- report on the introduction timing of change notes
- handle the obsolete material :
preventive : avoid obsolete by using up material, or avoid overstocks
corrective : administrate, and try to sell left over material
report on obsolescence
Steering of the building information systems in the plant
- full responsibility for steering of legal data (labels, chassisplate,…) in the Building Information System
- Load the steering data for logistic service providers in the building Information System.
- Introduce new steerings in the new building Information system at the appropriate moment when introducing change orders.
- Handle different issues with respect to the building information system.
- Initiate corrective actions when needed
- Act as business representative in system development projects for the building Information System.
Represent the local MP&L department in different fora related to material planning issues.


Responsibility
Report to the material planning manager within the local MP&L department
Secure that the main tasks listed above are fulfilled according to the agreed deliverables.

Competence Requirements
Senior high school degree, or equal by experience
Knowledge of the PPM (pre production management) processes and systems (KDP, local systems)
Knowledge of material planning systems.
Interested in IT related issues, good knowledge of personal computing tools (office tools, SQL, ….)
Knowledge of the logistic process within the plant, with focus on the planning processes within VCC.
Language skills : fluent in english
Personell skills : structured, pro active and communicative skills

Able to build networks and to mediate between different functions
Flexible, prepared for short foreign travelling and working outside office hours
