Business Systems Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. Strong data analytical skills are required.
Roles and responsibilities
This position will document requirements, define scope and objectives, work with business departments to optimize processes, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
The Business Systems Analyst is the primary liaison between business and information technology.
The Business Systems Analyst understands business requirements/requests and is able to translate such requests to the various technology groups in order to produce the best solution to support the business needs. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
In the role, the Business Systems Analyst also:
Acts as the main IT contact/interface to the business. Develops requirements and specifications for enhancements to existing applications.
Participates with project teams involved in defining, developing, acquiring and implementing new information systems.
Maintains a standard level of user documentation with quality.
Assists with the development of user acceptance test plans and certifies test results as required to be aligned with business requirements.
Reviews proposed technology initiatives generated within the business units.
Assures that the business case for an initiative is aligned with strategic IT plan and provides assistance to the business in developing the return on investment documentation.
Works with the division training group to develop training curriculums and courseware.
Provide training assistance as needed.
Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
MBA preferred
2 to 4 years of IT business analysis required
2 to 4 years of project management experience
Excellent oral/written skills, ERP knowledge is crucial to have, SAP is preferred.
Bachelor degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable technical discipline
Excellent problem solving, organization and analytical skills
Good English
