Job Description:
- Be responsible for working within a team of test engineers designing, developing and executing test cases on the 7100 network element and element management platform.
- Responsibilities will include setup of the test environment, design, coding, debugging and execution of manual test scripts in a simulated and remote test environment, reporting of project status, reporting of product defects to the Development team, etc.
- May be required to travel to the United States on occasion as well as traveling to the U.S. for initial training on the 7100 product line. Individual will be supervised and trained by a Staff Engineer/Team Lead located in China with direct reporting to a manager located in the United States.
- Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision within a team environment. English communications skills in both verbal and written formats are a must.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years Telecommunications Industry working experience
- Telecommunications/transport systems testing, system integration/installation, customer service or transport systems planning experience with network equipment utilizing SDH, SONET, DWDM, Gigabit Ethernet and/or data communications, etc
- Experience in the testing, planning, installation or field support of transport network telecommunications systems involving 1-2 years of network troubleshooting experience
- Experience in the testing, planning, installation or field support of GUI based telecommunications management systems
- Transport system planning, installation, integration or field support
- Knowledge and experience with performance monitoring, optical alarming, provisioning and/or support of optical transport systems
- Must posses verbal and written communication skills in English
- Background in testing, planning, integration and/or field support of software and hardware in telecommunications equipment and systems
- Working knowledge of UNIX environments and PC environments
- Ability to travel to the United States for training (2-4 week extended stay)
- Periodic trips to the US required
